For those going for tickets tomorrow afternoon, don't try for any more than 2 tickets. You'll have a 0% chance of landing 4, but you may have a 1% chance of landing 2. Personally, I'll just be going for a single seat and then deciding if it's worth it to go alone vs. selling it.

Also, call in to the automated line (866-448-7849) 10-15 minutes early and get familiar with the menu options. You should be able to keep saying "start over" every few minutes to go back to the main menu and avoid being disconnected.

You can't try to buy them online?

It looks like Atlanta sent quite a few DBs at Rodgers, and he was able to avoid them and burn them.

I wonder if the Bears will take a more vanilla, containment approach. Keep the plays in front of them, rush 4 guys on most downs. Maybe a few creative blitzes but not many.

They've done well with this approach. I just don't think you give Rodgers a chance at open areas of the field and uncovered receivers becuase you're trying to nail him with DBs/LBs. He can take advantage of that, like other great QBs. And he can avoid the rush.

Keeping the Packers more in the 20 point range will be key, I think.

That's in addition to online. The odds of getting tickets by phone through the automated line are much higher than doing it online, though, particularly when the entire state of Wisconsin will also be trying online. At least they're higher if you can time it decently.

Yeah I thought about that this morning. I think I am gonna try for just 1 ticket. This is one of those games where I don't care if I have to go by myself. And having better odds at getting 1 ticket is better to me than less odds at getting 2 tickets.

Hahaha .. NSBB Bears fans hate the Packers so much that they feel a need to have the Bears/Packers game thread started by a Bears fan. Anybody find this as funny as I do?

No I find it awesome. It even better that Packers fans are so upset by it.

I'm already tired of the "good vs. bad Jay" stuff. How come when Cutler has a bad game, he's "bad Jay", yet when Peyton Manning had his 5 multiple INT games this season it was "oh, he's missing his WRs and he's not familiar with the guys he's throwing to". Seriously? Sure he was without Dallas Clark, but Jacob Tamme averaged nearly 7 catches and 60 yards per game w/ 4 TDs. And he was missing Austin Collie and Gonzalez, a 3rd WR (and 4th option to start the season behind Wayne, Garcon, and Clark) and a guy who hasn't even been healthy in 2 years. Oh, and he still had a future Hall of Famer in Reggie Wayne. Cutler's throwing a group of 5'10, 180lb guys who can't figure out that slants don't work if you run them behind the guy covering you.

I understand Peyton has a history of winning and Cutler doesn't. But it's really ridiculous that Jay still gets this rap after what he's been able to accomplish with this group of misfits around him on the offense. His only "bad" games this year besides the Deangelo Hall game, were when he was either sacked 9 times in a half (not his fault), when it didn't matter (who cares?), or when he was trying to lead his team back from a 33-0 deficit (not his fault).

It has nothing to do with hating the Packers. It has to do with continuing with something that has been successful more often than not for the season.

i don't think you blitz rodgers at all.

Yeah, he was destroying Atlanta all day on blitzes. The key will be getting defensive pressure and/or holding calls with the front four.

Bears didn't really blitz last time vs. GB. Dropped 7 in zone and they all did a really good job. LBs and Tim Jennings in particular were strong last time out.

I don't know. It's really annoying.

There's this entire group of people staying quiet right now. And when Jay throws his next INT, out will come the "bad Jay" crap again.

Please give it a rest. Permanently.

and it's not because we hate the packers, it's more that we find a couple of them unworthy of starting the game thread.

it would be like letting a handicapped person like sarah palin write the foreword to on the origin of species or something

yes, drop the linebackers and bounce his head off the turf trent green style if he tries to run.

I just want to see erik spew his impotent nerd rage over having his e-thunder taken away

And I would do that why, exactly? It's a thread on the internet. I don't take things that seriously. And if you take the internet that seriously, you have my pity.

I found it highly amusing that Bears fans bitched about it so much to begin with.
