Arrested in a meth lab bust.

The younger sister of Brett Favre was among five people arrested in Diamondhead, Miss., after police discovered a meth lab, police told Fox News.

 

Officers responded to the condo complex after allegedly witnessing a drug purchase nearby. Specific charges against the three men and two women have not been announced yet.

 

The suspects were reportedly taken to a hospital for decontamination before being taken to jail. Hazmat teams entered the condo unit to dispose of the chemicals.

 

According to TMZ, Brandi Favre has prior arrests for shoplifting and unlawful use of a weapon.

 

Diamondhead is located in southern Mississippi, near Kiln, where the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback grew up.

In the 1980s, over 4% of girls in the country were born named with some variation of "Brandy". There were 4 different spellings in the top thousand names, with Brandy and Brandi being top hundred (none are top thousand now). "Brandie" was barely cracking the top thousand at its peak, so for it to be top thousand, it had to be EXTREMELY popular in the white lower class

Freakonomics also states that alternate spellings, ie Brandi, are popular with the lower class.

But you're talking about "Brandi" (#66, 1.2% of female births) and "Brandie" (#366, 0.4%) being next to each other on a list, that takes a pretty huge class difference.

i haven't read freakonomics, but i have to believe that list is really just the names the most clearly signify that the parents were low-income whites. i don't think those are the most popular names in number (or close), but instead that ONLY low-income whites were naming their kids these things.

i haven't read freakonomics, but i have to believe that list is really just the names the most clearly signify that the parents were low-income whites. i don't think those are the most popular names in number (or close), but instead that ONLY low-income whites were naming their kids these things.

 

It's been a year and a half since I read Freakanomics, but I'm pretty sure the claim was that the lists were the most popular names in the income grouping, not the most popular names distinct to that grouping. You could probably manipulate your sample in order to get to results like that though.
