I don't know why, but I want to win every single game. I want to go into the playoffs with a full head of steam. That's probably not best for the team, though.

 

I don't care about the #1 seed since I don't think the Spurs are making the finals, but you never know.

Having a healthy, rested roster is way more important than playing for the rare chance that the Spurs lose a game, you face them in the finals, and the Bulls win the random draw for homecourt.

There's also the fact that Boozer and Noah still haven't developed a solid chemistry (hasn't been in the game in the 4th quarter at all from what I can see) and that won't happen the right way without Rose on the floor.

Why would you call timeout here? I'd rather not let the defense regroup and try to inbound it real quick and if you can't get it inbounds, then call TO. Now if you can't get the ball in, there's a chance for a 5 second call. Teams always do this, and I don't really get it. Are you really worried about a turnover on the inbounds?

Noah played 18 minutes this game WITH Howard suspended. Clearly Thibs doesn't think this is a finished product. It's not like Noah and Boozer should be worn down for the playoffs.
