Only on NSBB could a thread covering a team's most successful season in over a decade be filled with statistical arguing/trolling regarding the team's best player and comments about they win ugly.

 

I don't understand why people have an issue with people talking about Rose and his game.

 

The Bulls are awesome, and we all enjoy it (the Bulls fans anyways), and we all love Derrick Rose and want him to be the best player ever. Since he is our superstar, and will be our superstar for the next 10 years at least, we are going to discuss him outside of the context of the team's performance. Over the next 10 years, the Bulls will be good the Bulls might be bad, but one thing will remain constant during those years (most likely), Derrick Rose. So it makes sense that we can enjoy the Bulls season, and enjoy/complain/evaluate/discuss Rose on a separate plane. Doesn't mean that the Bulls winning isn't the most important thing.

 

I have no problem with legitimate criticisms of Rose (plenty of which have been made here). I'm not here trying to say that no one should say negative things about the guy. What I personally find annoying is how that stuff makes up what feels like the last 10-20 pages of this thread.

 

In that case, all I can say is people discuss whatever they find interesting. If people wanted to discuss more about Ronnie Brewer or something, they would.

If he has a good next game, Rose will be shooting an astonishing 40% this month. I don't think anyone's done that since Wilt. Go ahead and send the MVP to his house, this one's over.

 

Has a point guard ever average 6 assists in a month? I don't think so, maybe Stockton did it, but that's it.

Or it will be like the 25 or so games where we had a horrible defensive first quarter and then put the clamps on and hold them to under 90 by the end of the game.

They're just standing there and Rose is dribbling into them and they keep taking the ball. Rose is not making good choices right now.
