Bulls offense is mediocre no doubt and I want to accept that as an argument, but how bad would the Bulls offense be without Rose? The Bulls have very little in the way of playmakers on the team outside of Rose. This makes him valuable. Also, he is using one metric for evaluating defense and ignoring several other ones that show Rose has improved to at least a mediocre defender.

That said, I am not going to blindly dismiss his arguments because I'm a homer. Its not insane to make a convincing argument for a player like Dirk. All I care about is that it's acknowledged that Rose is a contender for MVP, and Hollinger doesn't seem to want to admit that. He also said in that chat that Bryant, Wade, James, Nowitzki and Howard are his easy call for All-NBA first team and that they are clearly the 5 best players in the NBA this year.

Meh, no matter what opinion I make about Rose, I can't prove that my bias towards Rose isn't affecting it.

Hollinger will reflexively point at his favored stats rather than admit that maybe they don't accurately capture the value for all kinds of players. It's just as bad as being immediately hostile to numbers in the first place.

And I saw someone on RealGM post some pretty convincing numbers that according to the normal metrics favored by Hollinger types that Rose is clearly rating out as a good defensive player this season--it's just that the second unit is historically good (literally one of the top defensive units in league history) makes him not look as good by plus-minus measures. Of course, the 2nd unit has the luxury of feasting on other second units and playing at full throttle for the short periods of time they're in the game.

Congrats to my boy Jordan Crawford having the best game of his young career. Also, congrats to Keith Bogans for not being completely worthless for the first time this season.

Is this Bogans best game? He's played pretty well tonight.

I was curious and looked it up. He had 3 games back to back to back in early November where he got double figures, one of which was a 6-10 game where he scored 14 and had 6 steals against Golden State. Other than that stretch, he's hit double digits exactly ONCE since then(in February). So tonight, we've been blessed with Keith's best or at least second best game of his season.

It's funny, the Hawks have to play all these good teams and they're fighting hard.

Here are the Bulls, just coasting through all these joke teams.

Man. I admit, I didn't think this team would be this good. They look fantastic.
