Glad we didn't have a repeat of Wednesday. Good games from Asik and Deng and Rose, whose three point attempts I will pretend did not happen

For the first time all year, Hollinger's playoff odds has the Bulls finishing ahead of the Heat in the standings.

I imagine a 30-point loss yesterday affects that projection a bit.

You know, I really like watching Dwight Howard play, and he seems like a mostly nice guy, and I really want to like him, but every time we play the Magic he does something horrible like body slam Derrick Rose, or throw an elbow at one of our guys and act like a petulant child and it makes me conflicted.

This is the exact same way I feel. He really seems like such a great guy off the court but he is a such a whiny little B- on the court and makes me lose respect for him. He is still pretty young so maybe he will grow up in a few more years but if he isn't careful he will turn into KG.

Also I was thinking about how good a team would be if he was just a complimentary player. He has always been the focus of the Magic and never really had any help from another all-star, imagine replacing Bosh with Dwight Howard. Now that would be a great team.

Completely agree about Howard. I said something in the NBA thread about it but is there a player that reacts worse to getting fouled more often than Howard? I mean, Shaq got fouled all the time with the Lakers but he did get a T for throwing an elbow nearly every other game.

Dwight seems a little prettier than a guy like Shaq, if that makes sense. I imagine that has something to do with it. They're both bigger and stronger than everyone, but Shaq had mean streak and Dwight has a dirty streak.

And reff's seem to be forced to call their games around Dwight like they used to for Shaq, which is to say, inconsistent and truly unfair to the other teams frontcourt. 8-)

If Dwight ever develops an offensive game like Shaq's (and he's certainly added to it this year) he may surpass LeBron as best player in the league. And christ, I don't even want to imagine him on the Lakers, which the rumors seem to be pointing towards.
