Robert Whitenack has certainly taken to high-A.

Okay, so what's the deal with Marquez Smith. Does he have any worth as a major league reserve? He has been utterly destroying AAA in like a Jake Fox type way for a while now.

He would replace Baker if I had it my way.

Yeah, I think so. Smith will likely be added to the 40-man this offseason. The problem is he really can't play anywhere besides 3B.

And how well does he even play that position, anyone know?

Yeah, too bad we've got such a consistently healthy third baseman who is never in trade discussions. What's he average like 160 games a year or something? We probably won't need another 3B for years and years. :D

His defense is good (not great). I'd love to see Barney and Smith as the backup infielders next year.

Guyer's hitting streak reached 19 games tonight.

Does yesterday's game not count?

Oops, did I miss something? Checking...

Where was I? Never mind. #-o

He drew a walk, does that count?

I dont see how he can only play 3rd is a problem considering our current situation at the hot corner

Smith did dabble at 2nd in Peoria. Not good at it, but he could certainly fill that Baker role. Doesn't have Baker's raw power/ability, more of a gap power guy, but enough for a bench role. I'd like them to give Smith and OF glove and see if he can dabble in corner OF as well.

Like Baker, any Clemson grad (Along with Colvin).

That Boise lineup is very ... eh. Alcantara has some intrigue, same with Harrington and Na, but such a very eh lineup.

Most teams prefer versatility in their backups so it might be harder for him to stick in the bigs.
