matt matulia, who played second base during his cubs minor league career and is now described as a "player coach" - even though he hadn't played this year - pitched 5 innings of scoreless baseball to get the win. i guess he's a coach who is available to play in emergencies?

He pitched an inning a few days ago. I have no idea what's going on with him.
