If by some miracle we beat both Hamels and Halladay I predict game threads will be much more populated for a while.

Man, if A-Ram was his usual self we'd probably be 3 or 4 games better than we are. 5 or 6 wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility, but now at 9 back we've built ourselves quite a hole.

Im not saying that I dont enjoy the wins, but its really kind of depressing thinking where this team could have been if Aramis had been producing all along. Just goes to show how important it is to have that big bopper in the heart of your lineup. Also, if we could have at least gone .500 vs. the Astros and Pirates, wed be right in the hunt right about now.

There's always a chance. The 1995 Mariners were 12 1/2 games out in August, and they made the playoffs.
