With the holiday and all, thought I'd sit and watch the game while doing some work today.

God this team sucks.

I'll check back in April.

Thanks, [expletive].

Holy [expletive], the innings still going on? I can almost hear Lou saying well, what can you do over and over.

I wonder what the record is for runs scored in an inning after 2 outs. Im sure Dustys Reds are damn close. 2 Innings like this in 1 series. Pathetic.

Why even have a bullpen when you're going to use it only a last resort? The Cubs only used 2 pitchers yesterday, yet for some reason Lou is acting like he needs to conserve his entire bullpen today.

Acceptance

I was in acceptance but for some reason I'm back at anger. This isht really pisses me off.

Yeah, absolutely, i'm the same way. I was firmly entrenched in acceptance, but today has made me furious. Unlike people that say "oh i'm so cool, i'll see ya in April", I'm not wired that way. I can't stop watching.

Sigh.

I will say this - I've seen enough of Jeff Phuckin Stevens for a while tho.

Maybe if Colvin gets to hit the rest of the game the Cubs can climb back into this.

Wait a second. The Reds can't bat for this to work.

I'm with you there. I live for baseball season and the offseason is long enough as it is. As agonizing as it is to watch this team, I can't possibly stop watching in July.

The part that really pisses me off is that Lou is still here and there seems to be no end to him in site. As for nthe see you in April schtick, Ill still watch the games when theres nothing better to do, but Im not going to hang on every single one like I have in the past. That would be insanity at this point.

Embarrassed by the damn White Sox.

Embarrassed by the damn Pirates.

Embarrassed by [expletive] Dusty Baker.

When will ownership step up for pride's sake, if nothing else?

Was I the only one who saw some shirtless guy jump over a row to catch that 3-run HR Stevens came up?

Lou sure as hell didn't look like he wanted to get up and make a pitching change at any time last inning.

He was probably too busy deciding if he wanted to do an angry post game interview or a feeling sorry for himself post game interview.

I am praying that Rickets just cans Hendry and Lou ASAP. I understand it won't change anything but the past two seasons have been epic failures. I appreciate what Lou did in the past here in Chicago, but it's clear he lost interest last season and should not have returned this year.

Time to get fires going. Fire the manager and GM, and start a fire sale to get prospects. This team is just disgusting as much as it pains me to admit it. Things have just gone south since the last trip to the playoffs.

Sadly this is only the 3rd worst Cincinnati beatdown of a Chicago sports team in the last 9 months. The previous 2 were on Thursday, and in October when the Bengals embarrassed the Bears.
