Jackson is 2 for 2 with a 2B, a BB, and a SB. Who's the last legitimate prospect we've had that walked as much as Jackson? Do we have to go back to Choi?

Vitters is 1 for 2 with a double as well.

Good day for Jackson, Vitters, and Carpenter.

Jackson: 3-4 2 2B, BB, SB

Vitters: 2-4 2B, BB

Carpenter: 5 scoreless, 5 H, 3/3 BB/SO

It's nice having exciting guys in the minors. With Cashner, Castro, Colvin and Stevens already contributing, if a couple of B. Jackson, J. Jackson, Vitters, Archer, McNutt, Carpenter, Lee, Diamond, Flaherty can become solid major leaguers in the next 2-3 years we should have a nice core of players. Mix that with shedding some of our deadweight payroll and the hope for a decent GM that can take advantage of the big budget, there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel.

Micah Gibbs is making his pro debut down in Mesa today. Chris Huseby is actually playing right field today.

How about Curtis Granderson as a comp for Jackson at this point?

different races... invalid comparison

in all seriousness, jackson is at .326/.426/.543/.969 for the year, with 21 doubles, 8 triples, 8 homers, 14 SB, 62 runs, 44 RBI and 45 RBI in 71 games. that's very good.

Damn those are some crazy numbers, especially coming from a CF'er.

That's funny. I just assumed Jackson was black.

I've seen his picture and i still forget he's white.
