Another board update...

I'm punting on trying to debug what went wrong during the upgrade. I'm going to do a fresh install of the board software and reinstall the modifications from scratch.

 

I'll try to figure out a time to do this when it's as non-disruptive as possible.

 

in the meantime, the subsilver2 theme is probably working the best.

Ha! Have you been in the NBA playoffs thread? There's a lot of Celtics talk in there...(or at the very least, Rondo...)

 

In any case, your analogy is flawed. The Cubs are a Chicago sports team, as are the Bulls, Blackhawks, and Bears. I'm sure most baseball message boards have "other sports" forums, and have popular threads dedicated to that city's other teams.

 

Talking Bears/Hawks/Bulls on a Cubs board is more like ordering pasta from Pizza Hut.

I guess one of the casualties of the latest assault on the board is that the "View Active Topics" doesn't work anymore. Anyone who doesn't navigate the board using that is missing out. It's a pain to have to click on every board individually. Can't wait till it works again

You can also just click in the area where the button is normally. The link is still there, you just can't see the button.

Unless something unexpected comes up, I'll be staying up late and reinstalling the board software from scratch tonight.

 

The board will be down at first, but then will be back up with occasional oddities as I reinstall modifications.

okay...

 

Good things:

 

1) the themes seem to be working correctly now

2) I've got completely fresh files uploaded, so no chance of corruption by hacker

 

Bad things:

 

1) View Active Topics still doesn't seem to work

2) Smileys are fubar

3) I had to change directories, so people will have to reset their bookmarks

4) I'm sure there's more still not working.

 

Tired, though. I'll do more tomorrow.
