My bad luck with pitching decisions continues. Yesterday I start Davis, and he puts up -10. Today I sit Garland, and he puts up 31. ](*,)

Derek Holland (who is normally a starter) came out of the pen yesterday. How can I get rid of the scoring on that outing please?

Miggy is my highest scoring hitter of the week despite not playing until yesterday due to the birth of his child. Three HRs in one game can make up for missing a few games.

How is it that my team has scored 1 point more than the Lynx, but the Quakers are 0-7 and the Lynx are 5-2?

You might get yours this week, especially if Kershaw and Leake don't deliver great performances.

BTW, Buster Posey was finally called up! I know we've been through this before, but I cannot promote him midweek and drop a player to find him roster spot and then place him in the lineup ? Please confirm.

My goodness, that's all it costs for Miguel Cabrera!?!?

If I were trading with this year in mind I'd agree that it's a horrible trade. But I'm 2-6 and not deluding myself into thinking I'm in contention. As a present-for-future trade I think it's good (although somewhat risky). Morales has developed into a very good hitter in his own right (although admittedly not in the same category as Miggy) and will be a very cheap keeper for next year. And I got a top pitching prospect as well.

If so many people are having problems with the trade....why don't we go back to needing trades approved? We can do commissioner approval or manager approval by say 3-5 managers. Take longer for trades to go thru, but I don't think it would be too big of a deal.

I agree it wouldn't be a problem, especially since you can change your lineup midweek if it's due to a trade. If lineups had to be set by the start of the week without any exceptions it might be different.

I see no problem with that trade since he's getting a productive player that will basically be free to keep. I see no need to have an approval process, unless trades get REALLY out of control.

Yeah, it's not that it's a *bad* trade. It's just that that's the second big trade I've seen in a month where I know I would have been willing to part with more. I guess I have to be more proactive with offers but it can get frustrating seeing that.

You can be proactive with me. I have Morneau, Cruz, Lind, and King Felix that I'm willing to part with if I get the right offer. Braun is even possible, but will be hard to pry away from me. There's a pretty decent offer out there right now for Morneau, but nothing is set in stone yet so feel free to offer.

Plus I'm getting a highly ranked prospect (#1 on the Cardinals, #50 overall according to BA). Raisin could well be right and I could regret the opportunity cost later, but the idea just came to me when I realized Bukie suddenly needed a 1B for this year and he was able to help me for the future.

I forget exactly what you told me the other day, but basically said you weren't going to trade Miggy. :(

I had to settle on Morneau. :)

That was actually several weeks ago, before I'd seen the light and written off this season. And what you had offered me would have been more a trade for the present than the future.

But Morneau isn't a bad consolation prize at all.

I would have changed my offer if you had said he was available for a different package.

I don't have a problem with people trading at this point and I think all the trades have been legit. I just don't understand not asking around if you're selling off a player to try and get maximum value for him.
