to be fair, they were hot after Manny and his $20m salary before Sox took the Dodgers/Pirates offer

 

That wasn't a long-term committment. The piece of [expletive] down there is never going to committ to 100M contract unless he can heavily backload it and dump him off once they don't sell out every game. I [expletive] hate Jeff Loria
