I love all the people deciding post right now criticizing Soriano for his hitting when he is one of the few actually hitting right now.

This constant complaining about the way, form, timing, and/or substance of other posters' posts gets real tiresome real fast.

Kind of the point of a message board. People state opinions and others refute or agree with that opinion. People criticizing a player for not hitting when he is hitting is dumb no matter how you slice it.

Sorry I didn't realize I'm not allowed to be annoyed when people complain about things that aren't a problem.

You act like he has been on sort of tear...His number's are not spectacular.

You act like we never post here...Yeah youre right, Soriano is the greatest of all time. His all around game is terrible for the money he gets. He needs to learn how to play the game of baseball. Ask Brenly how he feels about Soriano....

560 posts in 7 years. Yeah I would say you don't post here very much.

Has Soriano been living up to his contract? Hell no. Has he sucked at the the plate this year? No. Therefore people criticizing him as a hitter is moronic.

Oh and I forgot what Brenly thinks is gospel. Thanks for reminding me.

Well excuse me for defending this country and spending a majority of my time over in Iraq and Afghanistan. I will be heading back again in 3 weeks. You have no idea what other people do...try thinking before you open your mouth. I have spent 17 years in the Air Force defending freedoms you enjoy...so keep on enjoying. Good day sir

First off thanks for serving. I think everyone here appreciates it.

However you said I act like you never post here and you don't.

I also explained why I don't...When I'n home I do, but thats rare. I have a job that keeps me away alot. I'll be gone for the whole season, but from the looks of this team I won't be missing much.

FWIW, it always bothers me when the attacks on each other start right after a awful cubs loss. I know there's no point to watching sports without tying emotions with it. But yea, the reset button on this season, this team, this franchise...needs to be hit sooner than later. Wrigley has shown it's capable, lately, of some intense venom at perceived bad effort. That's going to start happening (again). Edited by DiamondMind

You might be better off not seeing the Cubs than the rest of us that will suffer through the ineptitude.

One more thing...what does it matter how often somebody posts here? Some people just don't have the time. This site can be clickish sometimes.

He's OPSing .879 the last two weeks and over 1.000 the past week.

EDIT: It doesn't matter how much someone posts here. You brought it up. I could careless.

Okay, maybe it's just I don't like his lack of hustle. It may be the root of my disdain for him.

Soriano has been one of the few guys on the team coming close to a competant hitter lately. Lees in a bit of a slump, Fukudomes already a black hole, and god knows what the hell mis wrong with Ramirez, but he needs to come out of it. The only thing this team really has going for it right now is starting pitching, and even thats not good enough to carry an offense this bad. Our team just isnt good. face it.

Failure isn't disappointing when you expect it.

I expected mediocrity this year, not total failure.

If you're going to be brutal, go all out. If the end result this season means that the Piniella/Hendry regime comes to an end, this year is worth it.

Why would Ricketts have to wait until the end of the season? If he's an intimate a fan as he presents himself to be, he should be sick of this along with the rest of us. Seriously, what do we do with Z, Soriano, Grabow, Fukudome? They're not going away.

And why does Ramirez not care about being good at baseball until it's warm weather?

At least Lee is walking... it seems like Aramis is in an automatic 0-2 count.

How can his timing be there in these april games when he starts getting in shape so late every [expletive] year?

Just out of curiosity, assumign that the All Star team were to be decided today, who would our default All Star be? Dempster? Marmol? Wells? Silva??? I hope to god that after this disaster of an off season that Carlos Silva ends up being our pity all star.

Fukudome might be the on moveble of the bunch, but wed end up eating about half the 2011 salary. Id really like to give Colvin a bit more playing time to see if he can cut it as a starter. The way were using him now, wed be better off letting him play in Iowa everyday and letting one of our 30 something non prospects rot away on the bench.

I know this is probably silly, but I wonder if Ramirez is trying too hard. It looks like he is trying to hit everything out of the park like he wants to put up huge numbers and then exercise his out clause. I'd like to think players don't think like that but you never know.

Hopefully he is just in a funk and will get going soon. They face the Brewers this weekend so the offense might show up again. If not for the Brewers series, the offensive numbers would really be ugly.

Do GM's get fired during the season very often? Just curious. If we're struggling like this by the end of May, I'm not so sure an axing of Lou AND Hendry couldn't happen. Let Trammell finish the season out as an audition for next year and let Bush have the GM reigns for the same time period, with the intention of selling, not buying.

I don't know, why don't you ask 2007, 2008, or 2009 Aramis who crushed the ball every April?

Yes, retiring at twenty...I've had enough.
