Hjarms did not need to go down on that shot. Especially on a line with Sopel when that is his only move, let him do it.

 

If the Blackhawks ever stop taking penalties, they will dominate the flow of play. Pronger is so slow it's ridiculous.

I don't know if it's just nerves but I'm seeing many things that I haven't seen from the Hawks in the last 2 series. Very disapointed but overall not worried.

really we're lucky to only be down 1. that was a pretty terrible first period. terrible in our own zone, stupid penalties, and niemi looked very shaky.

Some things I'm very happy about:

 

1) This Flyers team is even slower than they looked against other teams. So, so, so slow.

 

2) We are absolutely dominating faceoffs. 20-8 in the first period.

 

3) If we ever stop taking penalties, we should get some rhythm in the five-on-five play.

 

4) Hossa created that goal almost singlehandedly.

 

Of course, the horsecrap bounces and calls are all going Philly's way, so we know the curse is on, but still.
