You can call it overreaction if you want, but we are cooked. That's three straight games where the Flyers did whatever they wanted after the second period and we showed little to no ability to generate any sort of offense. Mark it down: Kane's goal was the high point, the series will never look that good again.

its making me sad reading this. i hope youre just sulleying it

I am really upset at how the play has gone in these first 3 games but c'mon Kyle you are better than that. How many times have the Hawks thrown up stinkers this season only to rise up and dominate a game when you least expected it? The Hawks stunk their way through the last third of the season and the first round of the playoffs and then just turned it on and dominated the Canucks and swept the Sharks. This team has roller coaster tendancies, despite being very good. I still think the Hawks win in 6. I think the Flyers tie it up tomorrow, everyone panics, everyone gives up on them, and the Hawks come out and blow out the Flyers in game 5 and then grind out a win in game 6 and take the Cup home. It's not going to be easy, but we'll do it.

Kane's goal did end up sucking though because when he scored it just assumed it was over and we would hold them the rest of the game. Instead they pretty much dominated us for the rest of the time on the ice save a couple of minutes at the end of the 3rd and start of OT

True, but I might be in 3rd place and even I'm trying to look at this rationally. Trust me, I am really disapointed with how the Hawks have played this series. It could be 3-0 Flyers in an alternate universe. But the fact is its not. It's 2-1 Hawks, and the Hawks have yet to come close to playing their best hockey for more than a period or two this series. Philly is much better than I give them credit for, but I still think the Hawks A game can outplay the Flyers A game. Maybe I'm just ignorant, I don't know but I believe it. The question is whether we will see that A game this series. Every period we don't play like it lowers the odds. But I'd rather be questioning this with a series lead than down 2-1 or down 3-0.

I'd rather just be down 3-0 than have to put up with the "31outof33teamshavegoneontowinfromthispointoops we choked" bullcrap that is about to go down.

Flyers look like they may just be a bad matchup for us. There is barely any difference among their top 3 lines, so Q's magic matchup voodoo isn't doing us any good.

According to Elias Sports, the Hawks are the first team since the 2003 Anaheim Ducks not to score on the power play through the first three games of the finals.

Also, I forgot about this but the Hawks still haven't won at the Wachovia Center. They lost for the 9th straight game last night.

I was most disappointed with how quickly the Hawks gave up the 3-2 lead. We had a huge goal by Kaner and then it seemed like before I could breathe it was tied again.

I don't know how many times I've said it, but I'll say it again:

DO NOT LET THEM ANSWER!!!!!!!

What the heck was Jordan Hendry doing on a shift after a goal, anyway?

I don't know.

You need to let your opponent marinate in their little defeat for awhile. Make 10-12 minutes go by with them being down by a goal. Of course they're going to go for the quick equalizer. Everyone does. I expected the Hawks to be tougher to get an open guy on the back side in that situation, but last night they weren't.

It's one thing for a Flyer to make an amazing no-look pass across the ice on a fluky rebound for a goal. I can almost live with that. But that tying goal just looked like taking candy from a baby to me. I don't know hockey all that well, but it just looked way too easy.

I can't believe you are all still freaking out to this degree. We have a 2-1 lead guys. We're in a good position.

Not good enough. Being "in a good position" just makes it suck more when they blow it.

The 2-1 lead is great, and a good position to be in. We all know that. It's how we got to the 2-1 lead that worries a lot of us. The Flyers have really matched up well against us and instead of the Hawks looking like they have the obvious advantage in talent, it's looked pretty even. So instead of knowing that our talent will allow us to overwhelm the Flyers and win the series, we have to worry about a real possibility that the Flyers will go out there and tie up the series tomorrow night. In a vacuum thats not the worst thing in the world, but it gives the Flyers all the momentum and has them extremely confident that they can beat us. At that point, the series would be a tossup.

it's been 7 years since i've been this terrified of a sporting event and wanted my team to win as badly as i want the hawks to win tomorrow night.

lol this last page is just funny. I thought I was overreacting after the loss.

Just find a way to win tonight and everything is fine. Otherwise, I'll be right alongside all of you guys that are massively panicking. We don't want a sane and rational person like myself to be panicking, do we?

When they lose tonight, I intend to make the last page look like Calmy McRationalson's personal blog.

No. If you and other rational posters start panicking, an over-emotional zealot like myself might fall completely off the ledge :)

Eh...if we lose tonight, it would suck for sure, but it's still be a situation where both teams won their home games. I guess it would depend on how they lost as to how much I'd be panicked.

I really think that the Hawks are due for a dominant performance in this series at some point.
