San Jose has gotten away with murder, but the one penalty that was called was pretty iffy imo.

Yeah but then at the end Thornton threw him to the ground. Presumably to get his stick free but it seemed excessive. Also, isn't holding of the stick a penalty anyways. Someone should have gotten a penalty.

San Jose is pinching more. Blackhawks are playing their classic Q road game, choosing to concede the halfboards so that San Jose has a much easier time clearing their zone but can't get odd-man breaks.

Yeah I thought the Wings got the shaft last series when it came to penalties, but nothing like what the Hawks got in game 1

I counted *maybe* two penalties that I thought should have been called against San Jose in the first game. I saw four or five in the first period tonight. They got away with a ton.
