They were checking to see if there was a kicking motion, but it hit off a Nuck so it was a good goal.

Wow...I was hopeful for this game all day, but in the back of my mind, I figured we'd drop this one and possibly win game 4. I am pleasantly surprised. I'm all about taking back home ice!

 

Now I'm gonna get greedy and hope for a game 4 win as well. It would be just about over if we could do that.

Edit: 5th straight game with a goal for Kaner. Pretty good for a player who is really unclutch when it matters. Although I must admit, he played a mediocre game tonight.

Yeah Foley said that the PA announcer called the goal for Kane. But it might be overturned before the final scoresheet comes out. It definitely looked to be Buff's goal.

I think the official scoresheet says Kane for the moment, but there's no way they won't change it to Byfuglien eventually.

See, the only way Vancouver has a shot to win this series is if Lu plays out of his mind (which he has the talent to do, btw). Not to get ahead to Game 4, but the Hawks has to expect the Nucks to come out like a firecracker in that game, and if the Hawks survive I think they take Game 4.

 

But it would be nice if Detroit could win a game or two against San Jose, so that the Sharks don't have the extra freaking rest for the WCF.
