Jeter said he wants to be the owner of a professional sports team someday after he retires from baseball and used long-time friend, Michael Jordan, as an example case for what he would want. He said he has no interest in owning a small percentage of a team where doesn't get to "call the shots."

I wonder if he would accept an offer to join the Yankees front office in a role like Greg Maddux has with us. I would venture a guess and say no because he would likely know that Hank would ultimately only be doing it for the publicity.
