He really is that good eh? I've heard about how good of a fielder he is but can he hit?

Up to this point, he hasn't been great at either, but he could be very good in both, probably sooner in terms of fielding. Despite the lack of power (he's young, so people are projecting more later) he has handled the bat well at every level, so quick development could allow him to be in the majors relatively soon.

Although the only ST game that excites me is the first one, its still great to have baseball back. Anyone know if Nady is expected to get playing time at all?

Is it that out of the question for Colvin to make the team over Fuld? Or do you think they will want Colvin to be getting everyday ab's in the minors for a couple months?

I would hope so. Nothing against Fuld but I would rather see Colvin getting some AB's in Iowa and brought up after tearing it up for the first half of the year.

Pretty sure the added muscle isn't going to cure Colvin's inability to draw a walk... so I can't get excited about him no matter what he does.

Yeah, it'll be a pretty epic feat if he ends up as more than a 4th OFer.

Yeah. I'd like to see him make the team over Fuld, though. I don't see him as anything more than a fourth OF anyway, so I don't think there is a lot to be lost by not leaving him in the minors for seasoning. Even if he tore it up in AAA and got called up, he's still be behind Nady even if something happened to Soriano. For him to get significant AB's, Soriano and Nady would have to go down, which is possible.

Yea and the cubs also have Fukudome and Bryd in the OF so I cant really see a situation where Colvin gets many at bats

Ugh Saturdays tv game is the sox, any word on who is announcing?

Len and Bob, I would guess. Cubs/Sox play again on Sunday on WGN and that's at the White Sox park.
