The Pirates have had multiple conversations with free agent reliever Kevin Gregg, writes Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Last year for the Cubs, Gregg posted a 4.72 ERA and 9.3 K/9 in 72 games.

The 31-year-old was the Cubs' closer until mid-season, when the mantle was given to Carlos Marmol.
