When will the Lions stop getting the Thanksgiving game every year? Why should we have to watch bad football every Thanksgiving? They play two games on Thanksgiving...let the 4 teams that got first week playoff byes the previous season have these games. You still might get crappy games because teams fall and rise so fast in the NFL, but I think you'd stand a better chance than praying the Lions finally get it figured out.

EDIT: Oh...there's three games. I don't know how you determine the third game, but still...

They get it because they put the effort into doing it, no? It doesn't really bother me. Watching all three games uninterrupted is basically impossible and when Thanksgiving is at the in-laws, far less acceptable than at my family's. So the Lions game provides a decent opportunity to turn away from the TV and talk to people, which in turn makes you look like such a great guy to forego some of your precious football time for things like family. Also, it's great for napping.

HA! Well when you look at it that way...:)

Reports are Al Harris and Aaron Kampan both have tore ACL's. Both out for the year. Ouch.

Kampman isn't really a huge loss because he's been very average this year. He was having his best game of the year yesterday but I feel like we can overcome that loss.

Harris is a different story. Williams should be able to fill in well for him but our depth at corner after that is extremely concerning. We need to sign a FA, otherwise we're going to get burned on nickel and dime downs.

Vince has looked good so far tonight. Can't say that much about the rest of the team, though.

Yeah, completely different and much better from every time I saw him as a rookie

I strongly believed he just needed some time to develop. He didn't get that at first, but it appears to have helped him.

I'd be ok with Cutler spending the offseason in a mental institution if it produced these results

Mike Heimerdinger is a very underrated offensive mind as well. He was part of the reason the Titans became a largely passing team in the second half of McNair's career and he's worked closely with Vince the past couple of years.

Chris Johnson is really, really good. Better than what I thought he would be. That run a few minutes ago was... I didn't know he was capable of that.

...and of course, someone in my fantasy league has him benched for at least the past 2 weeks and my league's trade deadline has passed.

There are at least 6 non-QB offensive skill players in this game better than any skill player on the Bears, maybe 8 or 9

Hey, that's only one running back, one tight end, and one wide receiver per team

"Cortland Finnegan" is one of my three favorite football player names (in a good way)

Not sure of his ancestry, but Finnegan sounds Irish to me.

One of the Titans' 7th round steals.
