I can't see this game ending well....the Bears just don't look like a good defensive team at all. It's gonna be like this all year against halfway decent offenses which is just about every opponent we have left this year except for 2. I see a 6-10 team unless significant improvements are made.

Well, it will be like that against any team with a decent offensive line. We could blitz 7 and not get pressure against a third of the league, it seems.

Me too...I don't think the core of this team is salvageable at all. Keep Cutler and Briggs, and blow everything else up. Might take 4-5 years but at least we still have Cutler relatively young and the end of Briggs' peak.

 

Of course we won't do taht because we made the big move for Cutler, so what we'll probably do is try to tinker with things every year hoping we get lucky and find a group that works, which won't happen because we need so much help just about everywhere. Years of mediocrity to come.
