Can't go back

I've noticed this twice today. I'll be browsing the forum as I usually do..go into a thread...read the posts, and then hit the back button on my browser to go back to the forum index. I've noticed twice today, the back button doesn't work.

If I use the pulldown on the back button, the top of the list is "AddThis Utility Frame". If I manually go down this list to the correct selection, I can back up that way.

Two things worth noting. I'm using www.northsidebaseball.com/forum instead of /bridge. Also I'm using IE6 here at work.

Nothing crippling...if it's left this way, I'll certainly deal...but thought I'd mention it.

I'm not sure if this is an IE vs. Firefox issue, but I'm using Firefox and the back button works.

It's not an all the time thing. Most of the time my back button works fine. Unfortunately I don't know of an elegant way to recreate the issue consistently.

I use firefox and I have this issue. It happens every time I click the "view new posts" little orange flag thing next to a topic, then during the course of reading that topic, I click on the "Next page" button. Once I get to that next page, I can't go back to the forum unless I go back to the "Board index" link.

click the drop down arrow on your back button and go back 2 pages. the problem is that the orange flag takes you to the first unread topic, you then go to the next page to finish the posts, but if you try going back to the first unread topic, there aren't any. The orange flag isn't taking you to a page, but to a post.

right, but this is a very recent development. I just wondered if it was the same problem Banedon was having or even related.

And I have a mouse with a clickable roller, so I push the roller back to go back on the browser.

I've noticed a change in behavior myself and figured out what was going on:

the newest post button is taking you to post #173 in that thread, which clears the "unread" status of posts 173-180. Then let's say you click on a link in a post that takes you to another site, then you hit back. Instead of taking you back to #173, it takes you back to #181 (assuming there's another page of unread messages).

If:

There's no more unread messages...frankly I forget what it does. Been a long couple days of travel. :)

you started on 173, then read those posts and went to the page starting with post 181, it brings you back there because the url no longer points to "first unread", it points to t=xxxxx&p=181.

I don't know why this changed its behavior after I installed the bridge.
