Phillies in 6. The Yanks can smash, but so can the Phillies. Not to mention the Yanks win despite Joe Girardi, and thus I think Girardi are going to give Yankees fans a new appreciation for Joe Torre after he will bungle a couple of key situations.

I honestly think the Phillies are going to roll over the Yankees. I picked Phillies in 5. They are the only team in baseball that has the pitching and hitting to best the Yankees.

 

On a related note, how are the Yankees planning on handling the no-DH at CBP? Are they going to sit Matsui or move him to the OF and sit Swisher?

I think this has the potential to be a phenomenal World Series. We can see pitchers duels, slugfests, back-and-forth matchups... I can't wait for Game 1. I think the teams are pretty evenly matched offensively (the Yanks might have a slight edge), but the Yankees have the edge in starting pitching. However, I still think the Phils find a way and take it in 7.

I think Yankees in 7. I was leaning Phillies in 6 or 7, but I think the difference between Rivera and Lidge could be the deciding factor. Hopefully the good Lidge shows up for this series and the Phillies take it in 6. I think there's a good chance he's bad and the Yanks win in 7 because of it.
