For years I have always sat in the 300s for Blackhawk games and my company gave me and other coworkers seats on the glass for tomorrows game, I really can't express how excited I am for this.

For years I got great seats at the UC for Wings/Hawks games for next to nothing...I can't express how depressing it is to have to pay a lot for 300 level seats. It would be nice of Hawks fans to let us Wings fans fill up the UC still.

I think that is real cool salukifudd. I really hope you enjoy the game. I really hope the Wings win though, cause they need to points badly.

it would be even nicer if the Wings would hurry up and become irrelevant.

Every time I look at the bottom half of the West standings, I get cold sweats. If the Wings make it, it's 50/50 we get them in the first round, and that's just a nightmare scenario.

If I was a Hawks fan I would be nervous about Anaheim also. They are a team that is built for the playoffs.

I hear ya man. Even though the Hawks were awful, a group of old coworkers would always get a bunch of seats to Hawks Wings games because hey its Hawks Wings and I'd tag along. It was 70% Red Wings fans, and despite that, the Blackhawks fans there would be so agitated but what could they really say or do. I haven't even been to a game this year because of how ridiculously overpriced the tickets are and the fact that I've been poor this year. I am considering buying SRO tickets for next Sunday's game against Washington though.

Anaheim is a good matchup for us. The more slow, physical teams we play in the playoffs, the better.

Anaheim has played pretty good against us this year. We are 1-2 against them and the 2 games we lost we were outscored a combined 6-1 (we won 5-2 in the other game).

the officiating gets somewhat laxed in the playoffs. Anaheim is a team that is well schooled in the principles of borderline obstruction that often does not get called in the playoffs. They also have a goalie that can steal a game or two. They also have a top line that is capable of putting up 3 goals in a game once or twice a series. I would predict the Hawks to beat the Ducks, but in 6 or 7. I also think the Hawks would beat the Wings.

Your description of Anaheim sounds a lot like Vancouver, who I also consider a favorable matchup for the Blackhawks.

Vancouver is not good at the little things, Winning battles in the corners, finishing checks, creating havoc in front to the goalie. There is less room to operate in the playoffs usually and I dont think Vancouver has learned how to play in a tighter game yet.

I'm not taking anything for granted because I've seen big upsets in the NHL playoffs before.

Of course. Hockey is probably second only to baseball in how much randomness you can get in a short series.

The Blackhawks smacked around one of the better teams in the Western Conference despite a poor performance from Huet? That's unpossible.

yes, that's exactly the same as winning a 7 game series in the playoffs

and huet wasn't bad last night

I have seen enough of Anaheim in the playoffs 2 out of the last 3 yrs to have a ton of respect for them, that is all.

No offense but, just because the Ducks play well/tough against the Red Wings, doesn't mean they play that way against the Hawks.

I think the Wings have slightly outplayed the Hawks so far, but it's not a drastic difference in play. Obviously the Hawks hold the advantage in the score, but the Wings have done a good job of controlling the puck, and getting a body on shots and passes when the Hawks have had the puck in the Wings zone.

Kane gets an assist added to the first goal.

That gives him 74 points, and today is his and the Hawks' 65th game. He's on pace for 93 points. He's going to need to score 26 in the final 19 games, or a 1.36 ppg pace, to get to 100. Probably a little out of reach unless he has a couple monster games.

And he was just robbed of a goal.
