Alright, so I am still a hockey novice. It appears to me that the first Stars goal was a resukt of bad defense while the second was bad goaltending. Accurate?

 

The first goal was no doubt the result of bad defense. You cannot blame Niemi in any way for that goal. The second one, yeah, there was a defensive breakdown. But he gave a fat rebound and then yet the putback get under him. Saturday night he would have made that stop.

I appreciate that Foley calls out Kane, albeit mildly, when he makes no effort on the forecheck. Just there, he didn't even try to get that puck.

But this is what Dallas gets for playing so boring and basically saying we can carry the puck in and do whatever we want in the offensive zone until we try to get to the middle of the ice. Bad bounces will happen. You make your good luck.
