Well, this is it. All that's left to decide is how the West is won:

The Fighting Manginos at NC Cubs

Severe Tooterstorms at The Eyes of Texas

Galesburg Hand Sanitizers at Harrys Budcrew

Quakers at Lynx

Valenzuela's Screwballs at Tootielicious

Northside Baseball at Alamo Stealth

Saber Metrics at Fuzzy Logistics

Tampa Bay Rays at Raw Dawgs

Nothing like playing out the string after being in playoff position most of the year. At least I have one thing to play for. If I win I'll have my first winning season since joining Roadkill (I did have one 11-11 season a couple of years ago). So like a Cubs fan, trying to find solace in being over .500.

the hand sanitizers are a buzzsaw...six straight wins.

this could have all been avoided had you guys just been willing to slightly overpay for some of my players.

GSH isn't the only team to win 6 in a row.

Now to hope no one on Alamo gets hurt this week and watch to see who wins the West. I hate rooting for one of Tim vs Bukie (esp since Tim is facing me this week) since I just know I'll end up regretting rooting for one versus the other if they beat me the following week.

It's simplified if you win this week, Navin. Then you face Tim for sure. Hey, if you beat him by 60, you'd even finish second in the standings. :)

Picked up Macdougal and dropped Qualls because apparently Qualls injured himself recording the last out yesterday.

Heh, if only HFA meant something in RK.

You say that, but somehow my team managed to go 10-1 at home and 3-6-1 on the road. :)

(yes, I know it's still meaningless)

That's because your team is full of pansies without the mental toughness to play on the road. Better hope you get that #1 seed out West.

The way it looks now, I would guess Greinke/Johnson/Wandy will have 2 starts each during the division finals of the playoffs. Sigh.. I may have to root for Adam!

Because I've been unable to get much accomplished at work, and this makes my team look good even more lucky, here's some meaningless stats based only on head-to-head games among the playoff teams:

            W L PF PA Behind
Tootie 5 2 2083.5 1941.25 0
SABR 5 2 1726 1737.5 357.5
Sanitizers 4 3 1983 1424 100.5
TB 3 4 1771.75 1939.25 311.75

Wow.. some of those numbers are not what I'd have expected!

Yeah, it's pretty much a specific reason for the question of "How in the world is Kevin's team in first place?"

Either that or it just says that you got your ass kicked really bad in one of your matchups, and otherwise, your team's defense has been really good. :)

Heh, I have gotten my ass kicked 3 times this year by about 100. I have the only team in the league to score at least 200 points every week, though. :)

I hate missing the playoffs because other people wouldn't overpay you. I blame everyone else in the league for my demise.

I can't be blamed. I sucked this year.

Activated Tim Hudson off the DL and put him in the rotation in anticipation of him coming off Atlanta's DL and starting tomorrow.

Looks like I'm set up for Ubaldo and Lincecum to have 2 starts next week. Would love to see Boston get a rain out sometime this week so I can have 2 starts from Lester next week too.
