"Is this the same Jerry Reinsdorf that skipped out on Pima County taxpayers who had spent tens of millions of dollars to provide him with a taxpayer-funded stadium, to come to Glendale, where Maricopa County taxpayers provided him a Taj Mahal spring-training facility?" Smith said.

Smith also said Reinsdorf's White Sox play in a publicly funded ballpark in Chicago, and that Reinsdorf looked into buying the Phoenix Coyotoes, who play in a publicly funded facility in Glendale.

"The irony is delicious," Smith said.

:-))

Milwaukee journalist Mike Hunt's take on the issue. Funny he seems no never of had a problem when the Brewers were taking tens of millions of dollars through revenue sharing a few years back or that they funded their stadium with a tax that is going to be in place longer than expected now (through 2016ish). Also who would have thought he would mention the WS drought in his article? Real trailblazing journalist we have here.

There is almost no chance that a special session will be called in Arizona. The Florida bid is alive and well.
