EDIT: Well, maybe not Teagarden... I figured they'd bench him in favor of Pudge, Rotoworld doesn't seem to think so...

 

Rangers acquired C Ivan Rodriguez from the Astros in exchange for RHP Matt Nevarez and IF Jose Vallejo.

It's a nice story for Pudge, who returns to the team he spent 12 seasons with, but he doesn't figure to be anything more than a backup for Taylor Teagarden. If anything, it is more of a sign that Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who is currently sidelined with thoracic outlet syndrome, won't be returning from the disabled list anytime soon. Rodriguez was batting .251/.280/.382 with eight homers and 34 RBI in 344 at-bats with the Astros this season. He has thrown out 16 of 50 (32%) would-be baserunners this year.

They are excited about it in Dallas, not sure how it will play out.
