Do you think Ron Santo should be enshrined in Cooperstown? I do and his career totals proves that he should be in the Hall of Fame. He is one of the best third baseman in baseball history. If you are a fan of baseball please sign the petition for the ultimate Cub to the Veterans Committee who might have any doubts about voting for Ron Santo would see the baseball player, the broadcaster and the beloved Chicago icon who deserves to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame. He deserves to be there, but all this pandering from others and especially Santo himself has likely had the opposite effect it intended to cause by rubbing people the wrong way.

 

With that said, I think the majority of the veteran's committee are a bunch cowardly, egotistical, elitest fucks and unless that player is overwhelmingly good or well-liked by them, they'll do whatever it takes to feel better about themselves by keeping some guys that weren't well liked out of their precious little club.

It was with the BBWAA, but it worked for Jim Rice, Goose Gossage, and will probably pathetically work for Jack Morris.

 

Different people, but the writers pretty much invented being cowardly egotistical, elitist pricks that only vote for people they like personally. Same goes for their dick measuring by keeping a guy out for not talking to them back in the 70s.
