Whatever, [expletive] the [expletive] Cardinals. Tired of that crap. Might as well just start thinking wild card because they're not going to lose again.

Yes, the Cardinals replaced the rest of their schedule with the Pirates.

Not like that last sentence was sarcasm or anything.

Like anyone can tell in the game threads.

After Carpenter, the Cards rotation is coming back to life. They're going to be with us all the way until October, but the division is still up for grabs.

Agreed.

See that first pitch swinging I wasn't thrilled with. Not because he popped up, but because the pitcher is in a bit of trouble and I would have liked Lee to see a few pitches to see if the pitcher gets himself way behind in the count.

Prediction: Wells goes 7 strong' date=' gives up 2 runs, 1 earned,[/b'] and the Cubs squeak out the victory.

After today, Randy Wells will be the front-runner for the NL ROY, if he isn't already. Just a hunch.

You see, this is why I'm not optimistic more often. Because crap like this happens.

I said it yesterday and I'll say it again: This team has an absolutely horrific approach against struggling pitchers.
