Yes, I agree that Josh Hamilton is an adult and has to take responsibility, but it's a problem for a reason. One of the most despicable TV episodes that I've ever seen was this CSI episode where a police officer tries to "tempt" a pedophile in order to get him sent back to prison. I feel this is analogous.

How do you know Josh Hamilton is a good person? Do you know him personally? And if you do in fact know him personally, what's your definitinion of "good person"?
