Soriano is definitely one of the worst baserunners I've ever seen. Since his arrival to the Cubs, he's gotta lead the world in times being picked off.

I don't know what this means exactly in the debate of how unstoppable the Phillies are, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway.

 

2008 Cubs offense: .797 team OPS (1st in NL); 5.31 R/G (1st in NL)

 

2009 Phillies offense: .783 team OPS (1st in NL); 5.29 R/G (1st in NL)

 

2008 Cubs pitching: 3.87 team ERA (2nd in NL); 4.17 R/G (2nd in NL)

 

2009 Phillies pitching: 4.40 team ERA (12th in NL); 4.64 R/G (11th in NL)
