Dorothy, we're not in Washington anymore.

Right on cue.

Show some balls, Arnold.

not around all game, shows up when we lose. how is this not a troll?

Beats me.

I've got serious money on him becoming an insider within a few weeks at this rate.

Am I the only one who thinks Jamie Moyer is going to no hit the Cubs tomorrow?

Probably since Moyer hasn't thrown a complete game in 4 decades

that's okay we get to face jamie moyer tomorrow, i'm sure we can hit him.

I bet his 20 MPH fastball will fool everyone in our line-up.

Yeah but he's really smart and stuff.

Trade for a bat, now. Empty the farm if you have to. Who cares.

I'd be all for going the other direction, becoming a seller and starting over next year. It's obvious that if we happen to run up against the Phillies in the playoffs, it isn't going to be pretty. Of course becoming a seller would assume that the Cubs had anyone that was sellable. They have a whole team full of $50 bags of Skittles.

He's due then.

A troll would be an insincere poster, which isn't what I am.

The problem you have with me, Mojo is that you hold onto the 97 win season as the reality, or standard of this organization. It's not, and never was. It was a fluke.

We got shot down by Joe Blanton, Chan Ho Park, and Ive already forgotten who yesterday. Why waste Moyer? just bring up someone from AA. Maybe Hideo Nomo needs work.

Sell who? Soriano? Sorry, five more years. Bradley? Two more. Fuku? another year. D-Lee? NTC. Aram? Your best "clutch" hitter when healthy.

Jim Hendry has built one of the most incompetent MLB clubs per dollar. It's a disaster that really can't be fixed.

The Mariners were even worse last year with a worse payroll and they're playing pretty damn well this season.

Hell, get Pedro to under hand it to us. The Philly Faithful will love him after he's done with us.

Nah. The problem I have with you is that you're an idiot here just to troll. It's a joke you haven't been banned yet.

Harden and Gregg aren't going to be resigned and might bring back some value. Reed and Lilly could probably be shopped as well. It all depends what type of rebuilding they have in mind.

Hey Mojo, I come here to talk some Cubs baseball. I'm not interested in personal attacks or name calling.

Back on topic:

One thing I have found this series is that the talent discrepancy between the two teams is enormous despite the Cubs payroll advantage.

Great job leaving "Shark" out there that long, Lou.

Thanks Jim Hendry for having a $140 mill payroll that still has Shark on the major league roster.

wasn't Stevens the only one left in the pen at that time.

Sure, why not put all the blame on Shark. The 13 innings of offensive ineptitude was all his fault.

Blah-blah-blah. You came here because the Cubs lost and you only post when that happens so you can push the same "woe is us"/"fire Hendry and all will be well" [expletive] you always and only spout when they lose. It's adorable you seem to think the Cubs are likely to have a better front office or better scouts or a better farm system if they "clean house." You keep talking about norms, well wake the [expletive] up and recognize the norm of this organization's history of having all of those aspects of the club at subpar levels. This year isn't going to change anything. Ricketts isn't going to change anything. Any new cast of characters is going to be a variation of the same or worse. Stop talking like it's even remotely likely that the Cubs are going to stumble assbackwards into having the patience and the knowhow to construct a quality team or front office a la the Red Sox or Phillies or the Angels or the Dodgers because it's not happening. You're living in a complete and total fantasy world that's never ever going to come true so long as you claim to be a Cubs fan, which I'm baffled as to how you are one since that should be painfully obvious to any Cubs fan. There's zero motivation for most owners to take the time it would take to overhaul everything.

He and Gregg were still in pen and both are better than Shark...Shark is not a major leaguer yet, he falls behind every hitter and doesnt have a put away pitch (uh hum....Heilman)

But doesn't matter when ya can't score...
