Amazingly, I'm still not out of this race. My horrible divisional record will probably kill me in the end, but I still have a shot at the last playoff spot.

Really, the only team at this point that's a safe bet for the playoffs is Don's.

I better win the whole damn thing this year, because I'll be a cellar dweller next season.

the shittiness of this season has been capped off by brett anderson's koufax-esque resurgance since i released him.

it's amazing i'm within shouting distance of the playoffs considering all the flops i have coupled with robert's good fortunes. oh well, if nothing else soriano and rollins have boosted their trade value over the past week or so in case i'm hopelessly out of it by 7/31.

I outscored Don each of the past two weeks, so I think I have a realistic chance of winning. Chuck and Adam desperately need for at least one of Todd or me to lose this week.

Looks like the east beat the west this year 35-29. The east is top heavy though.

I put Nelson Cruz back into the lineup because apparently he's going to play with a broken finger anyway.

Can't say I blame him for playing through it. Dude was a top prospect for what seems like about 12 years ago, and no one ever let him just play. In fact, if you dug up a list, you'd probably find a top prospect list with guys like Grady Sizemore, Carlos Pena, Adrian Gonzalez with Nelson Cruz. Oh, and Andy Marte.

Let's not forget Dallas McPherson.

I have Buehrle in another league. Unfortunately that league is based on categories, not points, so there's no bonus for no-hitters and perfect games.

Damn it all with the no hitters and perfect games.

:P

BTW - You were right, I beat you by two points last time. I was thinking of someone else.

I could score over 300 this week and still lose by more than 100. I wonder if that's ever happened before in Roadkill. Maybe I can make history. :D

The trade deadline is fast approaching.

Guys that I'm making available are Miguel Montero, Carlos Pena, Aaron Hill, Denard Span, Kendry Morales, JP Howell, Brian Wilson, Manny Parra to name a few.

Pena and Hill are big scorers.
