Is there any way A-Ram can start some more games in Iowa until he gets 100%? The way his swing looks right now it makes me think hes 70% at best.

How would playing in Iowa help his shoulder recover?

Why is our left fielder warming up in the bullpen? :D

I didn't get to see that, what exactly happened?

If you're talking about Sunday night, Marshall was brought in to face Stavinoha, who he walked. Then instead of being taken out of the game, Lou put him in left field while Heilman faced a righty. Then after Heilman retired the batter, Marshall was brought back to the mound to finish the inning.

Ohhh, ok that's a pretty good move :D

This offense is awful. With a few exceptions no one works the count very much anymore. We have 8 hits but I think only 1 walk and 2 extra base hits, both by Lee.

At least I feel pretty confident in our staff at the moment, especially with how Harden looked tonight.

I dunno, but I sure do miss Fox in the lineup.

It's been that way the whole season and I really don't see it changing anytime soon. I would absolutely love it if our farm club in Pittsburgh gives us Freddy Sanchez for nothing of significant value.

Sunday night against the Cardinals with the bases loaded, Marshall was pitching but a righty came up against him with two or three lefties to follow. So Lou, not wanting to pull his only lefty, took Soriano out of the game, put Marshall in left and let Heilman pitch to the one hitter (think it was somebody pinch hitting for Schumaker).

Then Marshall came back in to pitch to the final two lefties and Reed came in to play left.

I don't know if you can say with certainty that the offense won't get better at some point this year given the track record of many of the players who are doing crappy. But it gets increasingly less likely by the day. Plus we can't just keep waiting for everyone to get healthy since it doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

Every time I hear someone say "...when we get on track" I just roll my eyes.

Actually, it was a righty due up, then Schumaker I think, but Schumaker was PH for with a righty, so Marshall only ended up facing 1 more lefty but got both hitters out anyway.

How the Nationals have managed to win 26 games is nothing short of a miracle.

They've blown like 19 (literally) save chances this year, too.

I didnt even know they had Alfonseca
