This a rare occasion....the Cards field a team with NO Dunkiel. That's 8 or 9 automatic outs we don't surrender today. But on the other hand, Baby faced Thompson has stunk pretty bad lately. Should be a good game. :clapping:

I know the years with Sammy in his prime were spectacular, but I can't imagine how fun it would be to have a guy like Albert Pujols on your own team. Maybe Vitters can become the elite hitter we all hope he will be.

 

At the very least a reason to tune in every day.

It's awesome. But you naturally start setting ridiculously high standards. Like you really expect him to homer just about every at bat. Not thinking he might, but you start to expect it.

Absolutely. And when you are a fan of the opposing team, you start dreading when he'll be coming up next but yet secretly looking forward to it because he's that good and cool to watch.

I don't secretly look forward to Pujols batting against us, ever. I not so secretly look forward to the time he goes on the DL right before a big series with the Cubs.
