Today's umpiring crew is a real mish-mash.......

 

HP: Lance Barksdale (from Randy Marsh's crew)

1b: Angel Hernandez (from Tim Welke's crew)

2b: Dan Bellino (AAA callup)

3b: Marvin Hudson (from John Hirschbeck's crew)

 

There is no real crew chief here. In addition, we just saw Welke's crew in the Milwaukee series, but without Hernandez..... and we saw Hirschbeck's crew in the series before that (Pittsburgh), but without Hudson. It could be that they've realigned some of the crews; that's not unheard of.

 

 

If that's a new realigned crew, that sure is awful and a bad way place for a AAA guy to learn the MLB. The number of ejections this crew would put up in a season would be ridiculous and they would likely be mostly the result of their own poor calls.
