Soriano and Bradley are good possibilities for this list in the future, but at this point they don't belong in the same breath as the Hundley, Blauser, Rojas.

 

For the performance per $, they do.

 

For performance per $, Sosa was a worse value than Smalley.

For performance per $, Sosa was a worse value than Smalley.

 

End of his career Sosa was, but that was also a resigning. There were probably plenty of years that Sosa outperformed his contract, but Fangraphs only goes back to 2002. Not to mention all of the money the Cubs got from his publicity, bringing fans in, merchandise, etc...
