So assuming all is well with Harden and he is back end of next week or so who gets bumped out of the rotation? If we go strictly on a production basis there is no way either Marshall or Wells should be removed. Do we go with alternating Marshall/Wells as the 5th starter/long man depending on matchups?

Lou made it sound like Marshall would go to the pen.

He's a senile old man. And by senile, I mean dumb.

At least Cotts will be gone?

I think removing Marshall from the rotation is stupid, but if it means getting rid of Cotts, so be it. I mean, just b/c Marshall goes to the 'pen doesn't mean he'll have to stay there. I'll take the chance Hendry gets a Loogy & Marshall starts again soon

Yeah, that is definitely the silver lining. If Wells can keep pitching like he has (I have my doubts) then it's not really that bad of a move. All in all though, I'd rather just drop Cotts and send Wells to the pen - but we MUST have a lefty for crying out loud!

That response was based on pre-game comments made by Lou. He noted that if Harden was healthy, Marshall could go the pen and "get lefties out." He seems obsessed with a LOOGY

I don't think we have to. We just need a guy who can get lefty's out.
