I guess Fox isn't doing well enough to be included.

I think the consensus on Fox is that he'll one day be a solid DH over in the AL.

As opposed to the consensus on most of those other guys that they will end up playing out their days in the indepenent leagues?

The real question is if that team stepped on the field in 2012, how many games would they lose? I'm guessing 147.

You obviously didnt get the hyopthetical part, that this is IF these guys were to reach their full potential.

And the chances of all those players reaching their potential in the Cubs org is 0.00000001%. When we did the same thing in 2003 with Kelton, Hill, Choi, Prior, Beltran, Cruz, etc etc those prospects were much higher regarded than our current guys and look how they turned out.

You're taking this entirely too seriously. Yeah, Ill be surprised if 10 of these guys ever play a big league game with ther Cubs, or if 5 of them play a full season with us. Maybe (hopefully) a handfull of them are on their way to San Diego in the next few months. Im just saying that while we may not have that uber prospect, although Vitters could be on the way, we have a nice, solid farm system going.

Agreed, there is no doubt in my mind that the farm is on the way up. It's not all that exciting at AAA or even AA, but the lower levels have lots of guys who have potential.

Actually, AA isn't that bad with Jackson, Coleman, Mateo, Thomas, Smith, Clevenger and Barney (plus the struggling Castillo and Guyer).

AA is quite nice. Lambert is actually looking better than Coleman. Iowa is nice too, but they're all in their all AAAAers in their late 20's
