I'm tired of a man on third, nobody out and not scoring. It's getting really old.

This team was not clutch with one of the best clutch hitters in baseball in the lineup. Now we lose him for more than a month. It's not going to be pretty.

Guess you busybodies are just too on the go to check some stats.

I hope Hendry spends his evening on the phone with the GMs of the Orioles and Rockies, and maybe the Mariners and Marlins.

Actually, the team we're currently playing has a glut of guys who could be decent options at 3B. McGehee, Hall, and Counsell are all possibilities.

Pat Hughes called it a check swing called third strike. That's what I reported.

I've always been under the impression that a check swing called as a swing results in a swinging K instead of a called K.

*Shrug*

We aren't parsing that sentence the same way. It was ruled a check swing, and therefore a called third strike.

Moreover, Mat Gamel is currently crushing the ball in AAA and could make one of those guys useless.

Granted, Gamel plays 3B like he has concrete shoes and a lead glove, but with his bat, you take that tradeoff.

Only the Cubs.

Do you not watch any other baseball at all?

Yes and I bet you that was the first or second time it's happened all year.

Meanwhile 6 K's for Dempster. On pace for 27.

Which stats are you referring too? I just have two innings on Thursday night and the 2nd inning tonight on my mind. I didn't watch the game last night, fortunately. So, in the last 9 innings or so that I have watched, the Cubs have had a man on third, no outs three times and not scored. That's getting old.

They wouldnt trade us Hall and Id just assume keep what we have over McGehee and Counsell. The very thought of an infield of Theriot-Miles-Counsell makes me want to cry.
