"I talked to our team doctor and he told me three to five days. That's what he mentioned to me," Cubs manager Lou Piniella said Monday.

The headline says it's a hammy, but the first sentence says groin strain, which is what they were saying yesterday.

I don't trust ESPN knows the difference.

Kind of like how everyone continued to report that Geo's thing was his shoulder when it was actually a strained biceps.

From personal experience, both injuries are likely to linger a lot longer than 3-5 days. Meaning that both can get worse quicker and easier than they get better.

Lee and Aram will need to pick it up.

Maybe, but it's not like Bradley has been some major contributer so far, and we've been ok.

Id rather these minor things pop up with Bradley and Aram right now while Sori and Fuku are hitting. Hopefully when they cool off it will be time for another couple of our guys to get hot. Thats what is so good about this lineup.

He's helped with the number of pitches/AB though. They be ok in the short run if Fukudome moves to RF. He's seen almost as many pitches as MB.

I'd rather leave Fuku in CF and either start Reed or Hoff in right. Let Fuku keep the position he'll be playing all year unless Reed is that much better defensively in center (which I don't think is the case).

I agree. I was just talking about when he would be platooned with Johnson. While Bradley is out (I'm guessing its more than 5 days) he shouldn't be sitting when they face lefties.

Yeah, I find it likely that won't continue though.

I'm hoping for better than ok this year. Considering that Bradley has played fewer than 100 games in 4 of his last 7 years in the league, I hope they don't rush him back if he needs more than 5.
