BCVM said he was having problems with MLB.com's archiving of the radio broadcasts, but this thread is open to him and anyone who wants to post highlights throughout the season. I will edit this post every time I get a new video up.

Radio Highlights

http://www.wgnradio.com/media/photo/2009-07/46818989.jpg

The calls of the 2009 season as brought to you by Pat Hughes ("This ball's got a chaaaance..."), Ron Santo ("OH GOSH!"), Judd Sirott (...) and the occasional Dave Otto ("You gotta be some kinda strong...") on WGN Radio 720 AM. Continually updated as the season rolls on.

All MP3s are direct from MLB's Gameday Audio online radio feed (an excellent value if you don't already have it; home and road team radio feeds for every game, pre-, regular and postseason for only $15 flat), recorded and mixed with Audacity and tagged with iTunes. Please preemptively forgive any rough edits you might come across; I know there are a few scattered across these MP3s.

All highlights are tagged with album art, the date, the score and a brief summary matching those found here (viewable in an iTunes playlist by selecting View > View Options and checking the "Comment" checkbox or by right-clicking the track, selecting Get Info and viewing the Info tab, or in Windows Media Player by right-clicking the track, selecting Properties and viewing the Content tab).

April 11, 2009 - Cubs 6, Brewers 5

After trailing the entire game, the Cubs take the lead in the 9th as Alfonso Soriano clubs the living daylights out of the first pitch he sees for the go-ahead two-run homer and Carlos Marmol shuts the door as the Cubs pull one out in Milwaukee.

April 17, 2009 - Cubs 8, Cardinals 7

Alfonso Soriano and Carlos Marmol play the heroes yet again as the former lines the go-ahead two-run homer into the bleachers and the latter closes it out and the Cubs come out on the winning end of a back-and-forth affair with the Cardinals at Wrigley.

April 18, 2009 - Cubs 7, Cardinals 5

Another nailbiter against the Cardinals ends up in the win column as Aramis Ramirez drills a walkoff two-run homer in the 11th inning at Wrigley.

May 1, 2009 - Cubs 8, Marlins 6

With the team mired in an extended slump, the one and only Ryan Theriot steps up and hits his first career grand slam to lead the Cubs to a win over the Marlins at Wrigley.

May 16, 2009 - Cubs 5, Astros 4

A four-run lead in the top of the 9th inning evaporates under the auspices of Kevin Gregg, but Alfonso Soriano turns heartbreak into triumph as he drives home Bobby Scales in the bottom of the inning and the Cubs walk off against the Astros at Wrigley.

June 14, 2009 - Cubs 3, Twins 2

Ryan Theriot records his first career walkoff hit as he singles to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the 9th inning and the Cubs defeat the Twins at Wrigley.

June 18, 2009 - Cubs 6, White Sox 5

Slogging through a lengthy offensive funk, the Cubs stun the White Sox at Wrigley, tying the game on back-to-back home runs by Derrek Lee and Geovany Soto in the 8th inning and winning it in the 9th as Alfonso Soriano drives in Reed Johnson.

June 19, 2009 - Cubs 8, Indians 7

The Cubs erase a seven-run deficit against the Indians, capped by Derrek Lee's game-tying solo home run in the 9th inning off of former Cubs icon Kerry Wood and Ryan Theriot's game-winning single to drive in Alfonso Soriano in the 10th inning.

June 20, 2009 - Cubs 6, Indians 5

Engaged in a battle of attrition with the Indians at Wrigley, the Cubs give up a run in the top of the 13th inning, only to win it against Kerry Wood in the bottom of the inning on Andres Blanco's game-tying single and a game-ending wild pitch.

July 3, 2009 - Cubs 2, Brewers 1

With two outs in the 10th inning, Jake Fox bears down and gets the job done, taking a bases-loaded walk to force in the winning run as the Cubs squeak by the Brewers at Wrigley.

July 27, 2009 - Cubs 5, Astros 1

Alfonso Soriano walks off in style, launching a gargantuan game-winning grand slam in the 13th inning against the Astros at Wrigley.

September 20, 2009 - Cubs 6, Cardinals 3

A bizarre double play in the 9th inning prevents a Cardinals victory and sends the game to extra innings, where Jake Fox hits a go-ahead two-run homer in the 11th inning and Carlos Marmol shuts the door as the Cubs beat the Cardinals in St. Louis.

September 24, 2009 - Cubs 3, Giants 2

Jeff Baker hits a go-ahead two-run homer on a two-out, two-strike pitch to turn a deficit into a lead in the 9th inning and Carlos Marmol finishes the effort for the save as the Cubs stun the Giants in San Francisco.

2010

2010 Cactus League Opener - Cubs 9, Athletics 3

Derrek Lee, Marlon Byrd and the 2010 Chicago Cubs kick off the Cactus League with a bang and pound the Athletics as winter goes by the wayside and hope springs eternal. Chicago Cubs baseball is on the air!

This is late and not up to my usual production standards (thanks for nothing, Gameday Audio) but here's the Pat and Ron call of Sori's HR from Saturday.

When/if we actually get play controls on the archived feeds, I'll do it right.

Quality's actually better than you made it sound. Thanks, your wizardry continues :)

I was talking about the lack of proper tags, a title, a summary and track art. Sound quality's the same regardless.

Oh. Well, I put a title and track art on it when I put it into iTunes, so I win either way.

Good news everyone! MLB has finally decided to make Gameday Audio do what it's supposed to, allowing me to start doing highlights properly again! See the shiny new 2009 Radio Highlights depository in the 2nd post.

If there's any way a mod can move that up to the 2nd post, well, that'd just be dandy.
