wow, it looked like i was done for, but then balfour comes in an 11-0 game and doesn't get a single guy out (-14.5) and jenks gets a save despite the white sox starting the 9th up 6-1.

I thought I was done only getting in 6 starts this week over Tim, suddenly I have a 4 point lead with Bedard putting up over 30 today as of right now. Hope this doesn't jinx me.

 

Last year I lost on opening week because I only 6 starts in on Tim as well, thought it might be a repeat :-).

Over 100 pitching points on my bench today (thanks mainly to complete game shutouts by Lohse and Harang). I had four pitchers starting but had already used 6 of my 7 for the week. I was so far behind that making the wrong choice really didn't hurt me.

Not bad. I lost by 100+ in my first week (and got to the championship game each of the next two years).

pretty big win for me early in the season. raw is always among my competition for a playoff spot, so to get a h2h win under my belt this early is kinda nice.

I have never been a bigger Ryan Theriot fan than I am right now.

 

Theriot has been hitting for power so far this season. I'm impressed. I'll take 3 extra base hits out of his bat per week.

I was just glad I was able to hold off Chuck, it was up and down all week as far as who was leading on what day.

Whew...Held on for a close win.

For a moment I thought the Quakers had choked.

 

What was frustrating was that I had over 50 pitching points on the bench, but given a choice of Zambrano/Jurrjens over Guthrie/Buerhle I would make the same decision again, especially since Jurrjens and Zambrano did so well their first time out.
