I dont think he was being sarcastic, Miami gets much more rainfall in the summer then any of the midwest cities like Chicago, St Louis or Cincinnati.

Have you ever been to Florida in the summer? They'll seriously go 3 weeks in a row with daily late afternoon/early evening thundershowers.

 

I want to say it was last year or 2007: but there was a 3 game trip the Cubs made to Miami and every single game was rain delayed.

Yea, in the Miami area in the summer, you can pretty much set your watch to the thunderstorms everyday.
