solid attendance of 2,039 for notre dame... maybe the nit should just stop giving them home games.

We get another one on Thursday. An equally exciting matchup with New Mexico.

I don't get ESPNU. Will the Northwestern/Tulsa game be on a local channel for me since I live in Evanston?

BTW, those two teams have almost identical results in common games.

tonight's Rhode Island/PSU game seems to be untelevised.

that's just great

i was asked if i wanted to go to that game. i thought about it but then i realized that a real basketball tournament is happening at the same time, and politely declined.

psu is up 13 at halftime. battle had a big half; pringle is not playing because his effed-up left shoulder is bothering him too much. he really hasn't been right for weeks now.

psu beat you are high by 11. i guess we're in the elite 8 of the nit or something? i have no idea how the nit works.

yes. they play the winner of Florida/Miami for a chance at the Final Four in NYC

ND pulls an escape on a Tory Jackson layup with 2.2 seconds left. Hopefully, Kentucky beats Creighton - Kentucky at ND would actually be interesting enough for me to go, even in the NIT.

hopefully miami wins so we can get a home game. i'm not sure that this is true, but someone at work was saying that psu probably would've been seeded #1 except that the #1 seed was slated to play on friday night, and the bryce jordan center was already contracted to host the piaa wrestling tournament. so because of that, psu couldn't be seeded #1 and got a #2, which might result in them having to play in gainesville.

if true, that's annoying.

makes about as much sense as any of the other NIT seeding

To those who are not watching St. Marys and Davidson, you are missing out BIG TIME.

Before this game started, I thought it'd easily be the best NIT game I've ever seen. Through a half, it's lived up to those expectations.

Bradley won a tournament game (I have no idea what other one it was) on a ridiculous 85 footer at the horn.

Wow. How can you even do that? you'd have to pull yourself up sit-up style instead of chin-up.

So the game being played in Auburn is on at 7pm EDT (6pm local time), but the game in Florida is on at 9pm EDT.

You suck, ESPN

Penn St. is making a good case for their NCAA tournament inclusion.

It's nice to see them outside of Big Ten play. When they play against another team that likes to run, suddenly they're much more fun to watch. They're scoring 20 more ppg in the NIT than they did in Big Ten play.

I kind of wish they hadn't lost to Iowa (not really) because I would have loved to have seen what they would have done in the tournament. Their guards are really fun to watch when they are playing well.
