The guy has power, certainly more than Paul Bako and Hank White. Granted he hasn tproven he can hit in the majors, but unlike Bako, he hasnt proven that he cant. I know he plays multiple positions, however poorly at all of them, but could it really hurt to give him some reps behind the plate during spring training, especially the early stages? He could be another power bat off the bench if he could play a semi competant catcher. Could he really be that much worse than Barrett?

Fox would be significantly worse than Barrett. It's not a "he can't block pitches as well as others" sort of thing, it's a "he can't catch the ball" sort of thing.

Yeah, he literally can't even catch pitches. Fox is bad and not an option at C.

if he had any chance of doing even a poor job at catcher, they never would have moved him

I posted a while ago that he might be an interesting option for the bench if he can hit with some power off the bench and fill in at 1B, 3B, LF, and emergency catcher. He may be pretty bad as a catcher, but he has to be at least as good as Murton or Neifi Perez were as emergency catchers.
